🧾 Ingredients
- 100 g (½ cup) cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup (150 g) granulated sugar
- 1 egg (room temperature)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1¾ cups (220 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- Powdered sugar (optional, for coating)
👩🍳 Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, cream together the butter, cream cheese, and sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla, mix well.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Mix just until combined (don’t overmix).
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions and place them on the tray.
- Optional: roll lightly in powdered sugar for a crackled look.
- Bake 10–12 minutes, until edges are set but centers stay soft.
- Cool for 5 minutes — they will be very soft at first, then perfect!
